DOHC | 16-Valve | Turbo Diesel | Common Rail | Euro 5 / Euro 6
1. Engine Overview
The 1GD-FTV and 2GD-FTV are part of Toyota’s GD diesel engine family, introduced to replace the older KD series (1KD/2KD). These engines feature common rail direct injection, DOHC 16-valve aluminum heads, and are tuned for greater fuel efficiency, low-end torque, and Euro 5–6 emissions compliance.
