Installation Notes

Head Bolt Torque Sequence:

  • Stage 1: Tighten all bolts to 30 Nm
  • Stage 2: Turn each bolt +90°, then again +90°
  • Use new TTY head bolts
  • Use MLS gasket rated for turbocharged diesel applications
  • Resurface head deck if warpage >0.05 mm
  • Inspect oil/coolant passages and valve seats
  • Replace glow plugs and check valve clearance (if mechanical lifters)
