Product Description

This is a fully assembled cylinder head designed for the latest generation of Toyota’s GD-series diesel engines — the 2.8L 1GD-FTV and the 2.4L 2GD-FTV. These engines power Toyota Hilux, Fortuner, Hiace, Land Cruiser Prado, and Innova vehicles globally, and are known for their efficiency, low emissions, and high torque performance.

The cylinder head features a DOHC 16-valve aluminum design, built to support common rail direct injection (CRDi) and variable geometry turbo (VGT) systems. The assembly is CNC-machined, pressure-tested, and delivered pre-assembled with all valvetrain components.

Installation Tips

  1. Clean engine block surface thoroughly and inspect for warpage.
  2. Install a new head gasket and new head bolts using angle-torque sequence.
  3. Align timing chain and camshafts using factory marks.
  4. Replace injector washers and torque to specification.
  5. Check for coolant leaks and ensure proper oil pressure on first startup.
  6. If equipped with EGR cooler, replace gaskets and clean ports before refitting.
