Ensure engine block and cylinder head surfaces are clean, flat, and free from debris.

Align timing marks for crankshaft and camshaft before engine startup.
Adjust valve clearances according to specifications if required.
Fill engine with new oil and coolant. Bleed the cooling system.
Pressure-test the cooling system and inspect for oil or fuel leaks.
Check compression after assembly to ensure correct valve seating and timing.
